Nathan D. Martin is Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of Undergraduate Programs at Arizona State University’s School of Social & Family Dynamics, with a joint faculty appointment in the ASU School of Social Transformation. His research focuses on college students’ academic and social experiences on campus and along subsequent career pathways, including in the arts and creative industries. His publications based on analysis of SNAAP survey data include co-authored journal articles in Poetics, JAMLS, Cultural Trends, and American Behavioral Scientist. An ongoing study with Alexandre Frenette and Gillian Gualtieri uses SNAAP to understand sources of growing inequalities surrounding college internships. Other current projects include mixed-methods team-based collaborations exploring Arizona young adults’ political engagement since the 2020 election, and the challenges faced by Native American students in undergraduate pre-medical and nursing programs.
